Utah AGD Implant Mastership Course

November 7-8, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Location: Abundant Dental, 641 W. 9000 S. 1, Sandy, UT 84070

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify ideal candidates for single or multiple implant treatment.

2. Evaluate bone quality and quantity using CBCT and intraoral examination.

3. Recognize risk factors for implant failure.

4. Explain biological principles of socket preservation.

5. Differentiate between particulate grafts, block grafts, and allograft/xenograft materials.

6. Apply atraumatic extraction techniques to preserve alveolar bone.

7. Learn principles of predictable tissue augmentation and grafting.

Hands-On Learning Activities:

1. Implant placement

2. Tissue augmentation

3. Suturing techniques

4. Bone grafting and socket site preservation

Instructor Bio:

Dr. Stace Lind was in general private practice for 30 years in Colorado and has been practicing for two years in Utah. He has his private office in Orem, Utah and is part owner of an office co-owned by Professional Dental. Dr. Lind is a Clinical Director with Professional Dental and assists younger doctors in multiple practices ranging from Logan to Payson, Utah.

He graduated with his D.M.D. degree from the University of Louisville, Kentucky. He has since accomplished a diplomate status in Implantology, a master’s in public health, and an MBA. He completed a surgical Maxi-course training under Dr. Hilt Tatum in Puerto Rico and also completed courses and advanced training in implants with Drs. Carl Misch and Randy Resnick.

Dr. Lind later served as a faculty member of the Puerto Rico American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) Maxi Course, and part-time faculty at three different Universities over that last thirty years. He achieved his Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2002 and has since received the life-long service recognition (LLSR). He also completed the KOIS training program in Seattle and advanced training with Dr. Mike Pikos among many other trainings and courses.

He has served both as an instructor in dental materials as well as instructor of oral pathology to the dental hygiene students at Colorado University at Denver. In Colorado, he ran the AGD Master Track program for twelve years and was on the Board of the AGD in Colorado for over 20 years. Dr. Lind has lectured in 98 countries and 142 dental schools. Besides his clinical knowledge and experience Dr. Lind has helped offices around the globe to help improve their profitability and dental business. He is currently finishing his PhD degree at Pacifica University and his Doctorate in public health from Claremont Graduate University.

Utah AGD is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing education programs of this program provider are accepted by the AGD for Fellowship/Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by a state or provincial board of dentistry or AGD endorsement. The current term of approval extends from May 19, 2022 to May 31, 2023. Provider ID# 219329
