Course Title: Understanding Implant Biology for Immediate Implants and Provisionals

Course Description: This presentation will showcase proven research and how to avoid problems by utilizing surgical and restorative workflows. By picking apart old dogmas in implant dentistry, we can understand the periimplant biology and limit bone loss in the long term. Both surgeons and restorative doctors must understand these principles for the patient to benefit. By looking at immediate and delayed implants, we can better restore our patients' mouths with dental implants.

Course Objectives:

  • Learn to avoid bone loss
  • Understand both surgical and restorative principles
  • Place and restore implants in the esthetic zone
  • Change your protocol to think biologically and understand the difference between teeth and implants

Speaker Bio: Dr. Kyle Stanley, named as "The Next Generation of Cosmetic Dentistry" by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, “The Top 10 Young Educators in Dentistry” by the Seattle Study Club, and "World's Top 100 Doctors in Dentistry" graduated from USC and then went on to complete a dental implant residency and dental implant specialty in Brazil. He is a researcher who has published in some of the top dental journals about topics relating to esthetics, implants, and plastic surgery. With his company Pearl, he is changing the way patients are treated through artificial intelligence and is a leader in this field. Dr. Stanley is the most prominent advocate of mental health in dentistry and through his Light Side community has helped countless dentists reduce stress and anxiety. He maintains a private practice in Beverly Hills where he focuses on implant surgery and prosthetics.

Lecture Course Title: Composite Bonding - The Ultimate Esthetics Course

Course Description: Composite is the most versatile material available for making minor or major changes in dental  appearance. With proper technique, its function and longevity rivals porcelain while providing  benefits other materials can’t match. So why are so few dentists maximizing this potential? A  dentist’s success with basic operative restorations doesn’t always translate into success with  more complex freehand restorations and full resin veneers. This comprehensive seminar will  benefit each attendee by sharing an organized step-by-step approach that includes operative  technique as well as vital diagnostic and marketing skills to achieve “Ultimate Esthetics” with  composite bonding.

Course Objectives:

• Step-by-step procedure for individual tooth changes (color change, Class IV’s and more)

• Layering—understand when and why to use each material including tints and opaquers

• Practical occlusal principles for maximizing longevity

• Polishing technique for an incredibly natural finish

Hands-on Course Title: Undetectable Class IV Restorations

Course Description: Using realistic models, you will restore a significant fracture on a central using a predictable  technique to achieve an “undetectable” restoration. Step-by-step instruction will include how to  prep conservatively, avoid tooth show-thru, and provide the patient with a long-lasting  restoration that can function as a natural tooth. This session will complement the lecture of the  same title, which is highly recommended to assure you get the most out of the hands-on.

Course Objectives:

  • Layering the resins, tints and opaquers to achieve natural translucency and color blending
  • Controlling the opacity and translucency to match any natural situation
  • Predictably invisible margins even when in the mid-facial of a tooth
  • Polishing technique for an incredibly natural finish

Speaker Bio: Dr. Corky Willhite, DDS has achieved Fellowship by the Academy of General Dentistry, the  American College of Dentists and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is one of  only 84 Accredited Fellows in the AACD of over 5,000 members worldwide. He has served on  their Board of Governors (currently the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry) and spent years  as an Examiner for Accreditation. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of  Prosthodontics at L.S.U. School of Dentistry. He is on the faculty of the Center for Esthetic  Excellence in Chicago. He has been published and feels honored to have so many  opportunities to lecture nationally and internationally. Over the years, his private practice in  suburban New Orleans—The Smile Design Center—has become limited to Cosmetic Dentistry.  His experience is based on a dedication to the belief that "excellence" and "esthetics" are not  only compatible, but can take dentistry to a new level of satisfaction and success.
