Course Title: Life Cycle of a Dentist

Course Date and Time: May 5 AND 12 | 6:30pm-8pm

Course Decription: This course is designed to study the beginning phases of a dentists career, the middle stages of maturing in clinical skills and business development, and transitioning from a fulfilling career into retirement. We will pose and answer the difficult questions which come up during these times and shed light on how making sensible plans and effectively orchestrating those plans will lead to a worthwhile and successful career in dentistry.

Course Objectives:

  • Learn the overall picture of how a dentist moves from graduation through into private practice ownership.
  • Provide a forum to pose those questions that deserve answers.
  • Understand the truth about the life cycle of a dentist.

Speaker Bio: Many dentists feel frustrated and lost as they start to navigate the process of buying or selling a practice and need a partner that will work to remove concerns and frustrations. Fred Heppner, Transitions Consultant & Business Management Advisor at Arizona Transitions, is a leader when it comes to the business of dentistry. Nearly four decades of experience helping dentists transition their practice allows him to understand the issues and challenges that today’s dentists face. His expertise and dedication to his clients and his work make him one of the premier advisers in the industry.

Course Title: Dental Transitions in 2022: Data on pricing, trends and changing options for owners

Course Date and Time: May 26 at 6:30pm-8pm

Course Decription: Brian will discuss the changing landscape of dental transitions in 2022. He'll provide up-to-date and accurate information on pricing of actual dental transitions in the last year as well as trends over time, geography, practice size and profitability. He'll compare the headlines around DSO sales to the often hidden details that few dentists talk about that change the math significantly and how practice owners can maximize the value of their practice in a transition.

Course Objectives:

  • Speak correctly and accurately to "average" dental practice values
  • Understand why seemingly astronomical DSO valuations actually are almost always lower than private practice sales
  • Identify the best options for help in a dental transition, if needed at all

He is the author of three books and is regularly featured in publications like Dental Economics and AGD Impact.
