Course Description:

An implant overdenture is one of the most useful techniques in modern implant dentistry. With the aging population and increased life expectancy, treatment may include full mouth extractions and prosthetic rehabilitation. In addition, fixed implant supported prostheses may not be feasible for every patient. Limitations include anatomy of the arches, financial resources and the patient’s oral hygiene habits. Clinical studies have shown improved the quality of life with removable implant supported prostheses. In this course we will explore the diagnosis and treatment planning, case selection and delivery of care from the surgical and final prosthetic phases based on contemporary scientific evidence.

Participants will begin their training with lecture delivered by Dr. Ryan Dobbs and Dr. John Zalesky. We will be discussing workflow plan and design a mandibular implant overdenture guide, from start to finish. Each participant will understand case selection, bone anatomy, implant/abutment selection and delivery of the final overdenture prosthesis. The instructional and hands-on foundation provided by Zimvie's OverdenSure system will include implant placement, overdenture abutments and retention inserts.

Each attendee will have the hands-on opporunity to train on models, two implants and an overdenture provided by ZimVie.
