Course Summary

This course is designed to help dentists gain the confidence to tackle back-to-back Class 2 composites, which are often considered the bread & butter of dentistry. Mastering this skill not only improves clinical outcomes but also helps you earn patient trust and build a loyal, referral-driven practice.

Participants will learn step-by-step techniques for predictable restorations, including proper placement of sectional matrices, wedges, and Garrison rings. The course also emphasizes composite placement strategies that minimize post-operative sensitivity.

Beyond clinical skills, you’ll gain practical communication techniques and patient-friendly dialogue to use at every stage of treatment. You'll learn how to help patients feel comfortable & confident in your care, which will make them more likely to refer their friends and family!

Learning Objectives:

1) Tips on how to ensure your cavity prep is sufficient before starting the restoration phase

2) Place sectional matrices, wedges, and rings to achieve tight contacts and minimize polishing time

3) How to place composite into your cavity preps to ensure minimal post-op sensitivity & shrinkage

4) How to polish your restorations efficiently

5) Deliver local anesthesia with techniques that minimize patient discomfort

6) Use effective communication strategies to enhance patient comfort, build trust, and encourage referrals
